LOL I'm not morbidly obese, but one of the things that helped drive me to the doctor was I had started exercising every day, and watching what I was eating, and my weight was NOT moving at all. This, in addition to the extreme fatigue, worried me. At least now my weight is slowly starting to slide in the right direction again. I don't want to be "perfect" I just want to be healthy. I had gestational diabetes with my son, and my grandmother had mild diabetes at the end of her life, so even though I don't have it now I am keenly aware that I need to get as much excess weight off to get to a healthy weight to help stave off that disease too.

I would be LOST without my iPad now. I have the Pocket Informant organizer on it, and the calendar syncs to my Droid X phone through Google Calendar, so even if something gets lost, I still have everything. I think one of the things that stymied me before with the Flylady system was the control journal. A paper journal just doesn't work for me or my lifestyle. I'm a gadget girl, and having it there on my iPad for some reason is much easier than lugging around a regular notebook. I don't use the Office in a Bag concept either because I work from home, and my "office" is the iPad and my Droid X. ...First- I LOVE the blog title (snark side- HA!).

Second- Just watched a video about slowing down today that really inspired me and now reading your blog makes me realize I need to do the same.

Three- Weight loss motivation factoid: Every one pound lost relieves four pounds of pressure from EACH knee (from the Arthritis Foundation so fairly reliable).

Four- I don't know how anyone with fibromyalgia before the ipad/iphone managed to accomplish anything ever. I barely know what planet I'm on without mine.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
