Next giveaway: Shake it up, baby!

Saturday, October 19, 2013
EDIT: The giveaway is now CLOSED...winners are posted HERE.

****

Okay, I promised you all more giveaways, and here's the next one. Yes, when I went to Tarpon on Wednesday, I found these guys as well. (There will also be coffee mugs and various stuff given away over the next couple of weeks.) And I got more of the black and white ones, too, so I'll be giving more of those away. (Perk of living in a touristy area is the ability to find neat stuff like this without breaking the bank. LOL)

If you entered the last giveaway, make sure you checked to see if you're a winnah.

The next installment of my Placida Pod series, Without Porpoise, releases on 10/28 from Siren-BookStrand and is available for pre-order now. Just in time, because it's also set right before Samhain. :) (Got to love it when things just work out like that. *smile*)

So you know the drill. I'll pick the winners from the comments (after removing spam or duplicates) by using random.org's number generator.

I'll pick six winners: one will get these cuties, the other five will get swag envelopes. One entry per person. Open world-wide, void where prohibited, must be of legal age, yadda-yadda TEH LEGALZ!

Remember, if Google/Blogger wants to make you "anonymous" leave a name or email addy or something in the comment so I can distinguish you from everyone else. Yes, even if you played/won in the last one, you can play again. :)

All you have to do is comment. :) Say hi, ask me a question, whatever. I'll pick the winners on Tuesday, 10/22. Good luck!

If you haven't read the first two books, Accidentally on Porpoise and Porpoiseful Intent, they're available in e-book format from Siren-BookStrand, Kindle, Nook, etc. and they're combined as one print volume if you prefer that format.

Blurb for Placida Pod 3 - Without Porpoise:

Sean is settling in as Emery’s mate as the Samhain superpod grows near. They are helping with the preparations, but there’s still a murderous dolphin shifter on the loose, forcing everyone to take precautions. Emery’s dad will appoint him the new pod Alpha during the celebrations…as long as everything goes according to plan.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t. Erik’s still scheming to ruin Emery for rejecting him in favor of picking a human as his mate. He throws in his lot with a dangerous Mexican pod intent on taking over the Placida Pod as a way to smuggle drugs into the country.

Now Sean and Emery are faced with joining forces with their wide network of friends, as well as the dolphins’ natural enemies, to try to rescue their abducted fathers. Will they be able to keep their families and the pod from being cruelly ripped apart, or can they rescue the men before the pod is left Without Porpoise?

I love the titles of the Placida Pod books. The word, porpoise, really gives a lot of scope for puns.

Hi Tymber, I did think the black and white shakers were cute in their simplicity, these are just cute because of cute. I guess Florida being situated where it is lends itself to marine souvenirs. Being from Oz, I would love the opportunity to visit there sometime. All the best for the new release.

Try, try again [my new motto]. Marine shifters would be a new one for me [love those of the 4-legged variety].

I love the dolphin/porpoise shifters. I've actually learned new things about dolphins since reading your books. I started looking up dolphins and their pod and mating. Living a landlocked area of Texas, I guess I never thought or was interested in them. But after reading on dolphins/porpoises I understand parts of your book better. I always love learning new things and reading your books is a plus. I can't wait for your new release. Congratulations!

  1. Thanks for all the great comments/questions, please keep 'em coming! :) Not ignoring anyone's comments, but want to answer questions.

@Karen Peacock & @amy bowens - I was having a "couch day" and watching TV and saw a story in Sarasota about a dolphin that commonly visited with boaters in the bay. The first four books immediately hit me, just like that.

@Claudette - Yes, I learned stuff I didn't know about them while doing research. They're amazing creatures.

@Kasey - Soon! LOL I didn't want to bug you too soon with the move. :)
