"Stay calm, have courage, and wait for signs."

Friday, August 23, 2013
That's one of my favorite quotes. I don't know if Craig Johnson, author of the Longmire series of books, got it from somewhere else or not, but I don't care.

This week has been a mix of that. Usually, release day weeks are, for me, a happy time. Especially one a week after FetCon.

Having to say goodbye to our old Lab, Scudder, on Tuesday afternoon has pretty much sucked the joy out of it for me.

So all I can do is...

Stay calm, have courage, and wait for signs.

That's not always easy to do, but I'm trying.

With indie publishing being what it is, flexible and fast, I was able to insert a modified dedication to Scudder (who was the inspiration for Doogie in the book) into Pinch Me.

This book is one I've actually had on the burner for...well, over ten years. I got the idea for it from the Barenaked Ladies' song of the same title. (I've trimmed the lyrics down to hit the highlights.)

It's the perfect time of year
Somewhere far away from here
I feel fine enough, I guess
Considering everything's a mess
There's a restaurant down the street
Where hungry people like to eat
I could walk, but I'll just drive
It's colder than it looks outside
...
Pinch me, pinch me
'Cos I'm still asleep
Please God, tell me
That I'm still asleep
...
On an evening such as this
It's hard to tell if I exist
...
It's like a dream, you try to remember but it's gone, then ya
Try to scream but it only comes out as a yawn, when ya
Try to see the world beyond your front door

The idea for the story immediately smacked me between the eyes. That happens frequently. (Taking it beyond an idea is a different story.) Unfortunately, it sort of languished despite having most of it written. I just couldn't shake the feeling that it was missing something. Yeah, it was a complete story, lots of conflict, lots of action, lots of energy.

But...

Yawn.

I'd pull it out every so often and look at it and then put it away again. I honestly didn't know what it was missing, and while I thought maybe I'd go ahead and self-pub it as a romantic mystery, I just...

Didn't know.

Fast forward to Bash this year, at the end of May. (It's an annual BDSM convention here in the area.) I was literally finishing up Two Geeks and Their Girl to submit it when we got there. And at one point during some downtime, I pulled open the file for Pinch Me.

And it smacked me between the eyes what was missing.

I immediately rewrote the first and second chapters in less than an hour and the rest of the story just automagically filled out the "missing bits" in my brain.

Yes, I'll be the first to admit the amnesia trope is common. (To be fair, it wasn't AS common when I first got the idea for it years ago. LOL And I'd originally wrote it as a suspense, not a romance.) But what happens when a woman not only has to try to regain her memory, but her fiance is her Master and is afraid to tell her about that part of their life?

And now (channelling Paul Harvey) you know...the rest of the story. LOL

So I hope you enjoy Pinch Me. It also allowed me a chance to revisit and update other characters from other books in what I've now dubbed the Suncoast Society series.

Suncoast Society series reading order.

Thursday, August 8, 2013
Coming 8/23/13.
I'm frequently asked about the "correct" reading order for the Suncoast Society series. When I first started writing them, they were only connected by theme (BDSM) and not by characters. But the characters, as they so often do, took on a life of their own and decided they were more than just stories passing each other in file folders on my computer's hard drive.

The characters started walking through each others' books.

Tony Daniels, of course, was the first "offender," so to speak. He appeared in both Domme by Default and The Reluctant Dom at first. I didn't have plans to give him his own story.

Well, rather, HE hadn't spoken up with his own story. But eventually he did. Giving me The Denim Dom. And he makes an appearance in Two Geeks and Their Girl (but in a vanilla way).

He also plays an important role in Pinch Me, coming 8/23 from Siren-BookStrand.

So while all the books in this series are standalone stories in their own right, I'm going to suggest a preferred reading order simply to avoid one book revealing spoilers about other books. This is more a chronological order.

  1. Safe Harbor
  2. Cardinal's Rule
  3. Domme by Default
  4. The Reluctant Dom
  5. The Denim Dom
  6. Pinch Me (coming 8/23/13)

Ray, Oot, and kitten from Safe Harbor also appear in Love Slave for Two: Beginnings, and in kitten's tale. While kitten's tale is BDSM, it's not technically part of the Suncoast Society series.

If you don't read them in the "right" order, really, it's not going to hurt anything. Each book focuses on a different set of main characters, with other characters in supporting roles. But now that the characters have made it plain to me that they're all going in this direction, the books will be more chronological in relation to each other. Still all standalone works, but you might come across spoilers if read in a non-chronological order.

Review: 5 Stars and Purest Delight rating for "The Denim Dom"

Saturday, March 9, 2013
Received a great review (5 stars and Purest Delight rating) for The Denim Dom from Shadow at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews!

"When author Tymber Dalton gets it right, she can rip your soul from your body and put everything back together again. In The Denim Dom, she gets it right. While it is not quite as emotional as some of her previous efforts, (don’t read The Reluctant Dom without a tissue), you feel for both the heroine and her Dom and really pull for them to have their HEA.... Throughout the book, we are treated to updates on characters from Dalton’s earlier books, including The Reluctant Dom, Domme by Default, Cardinal’s Rule and Safe Harbor. However, you don’t need to have read any of them to appreciate the Denim Dom. One of the more interesting aspects of Dalton’s book is that she lives the lifestyle. And she gives some compelling reasons why people are drawn to it, although ultimately, as she demonstrates in the book, it takes experiencing it to understand it. The book does contain bondage, impact play and Master/slave relationships. Overall, this was an excellent read, well-written and fascinating."

Review: 5 Hearts for "The Denim Dom" from Riverina Romantics!

Friday, March 8, 2013
Woot! The Denim Dom received a 5-Heart review from Riverina Romantics! :) Squee!

"I experienced a wide variety of emotions while reading this book. I laughed, got mad and even teared up a bit. This book has characters that tie-in from Tymber's The Suncoast Society series. You don't have to read them to love this book but I would recommend it because you are emotionally connected to more of the characters that way. I read them and loved seeing how those other relationships were progressing. I had been waiting for Tony's story for a while and it didn't disappoint. I would highly recommend this book." Adult Excerpt: "The Denim Dom"

Saturday, March 2, 2013

Here's an adult excerpt from The Denim Dom.

http://www.bookstrand.com/the-denim-dom

Blurb:

Who needs leather when you can have denim? A denim Dom, that is.

Shayla Pierce dumped her lying ex and moved to Florida to start a job at a magazine. An assignment to write about BDSM leads her to discover a new world and make a slew of new friends, including the sinfully sexy Tony Daniels. She’s just not sure she can ever trust again.

Tony is used to teaching about BDSM, but he’s never trained a submissive he wasn’t dating before. After losing hope he’ll ever find the perfect submissive for him, Shayla walks into his life and asks him to train her for her series of articles. He knows about her bad break-up and their agreement is supposed to be nothing more than business. But as she raises the ante, he’s finding it harder to keep his heart under lock and key.

Will Shayla stay a hostage to her past, or allow Tony to become her Denim Dom?

--

Story Excerpt:

Tony admitted his curiosity had run overtime after her phone call the night before. Over the phone Shayla sounded more timid than ever, a woman wanting to ask something and apparently afraid to spit it out. He’d found her discomfort amusing and endearing.

Not to mention the sadist in him got a little twist out of it in the bargain.

He knew she’d spent the day before with Leah, Loren, Tilly, and Clarisse. He wouldn’t be nosy and ask what they talked about, but he couldn’t help wondering if her call to him was a result of it.

She laced her hands together in front of her on the table, her eyes trained on them. When she spoke, her voice sounded so soft he had to sit forward to hear her.

“You said you’ve trained submissives before,” she said.

He slowly nodded and folded his arms on the table in front of him. “Yes?”

“And you teach, too? I mean, I know you teach the whip class, but you teach other stuff.”

“Yes?”

“How much do you charge?”

He thought maybe he’d misheard her. “I don’t understand.”

She still wouldn’t look at him. “How much do you charge to train a submissive?”

“I don’t.”

That forced her gaze up to his before it dropped to her hands again. “But I thought you said—”

“When I train a submissive, it’s because myself and the person have reached a mutual agreement to pursue that. That’s personal, not a business transaction. I’ve never charged to train a submissive. I don’t hire myself out to do that. Now, I’ve taught private sessions on technique with rope bondage, whips, that sort of thing. But the relationship between a Dominant and their submissive is a personal one. At least, it is for me. I know there are people out there who claim to make a business out of training submissives and slaves, but I’m not one of them. What I do in my personal life is for pleasure. The only reason I even accept money for my classes is to cover expenses and time, not to make a profit.”

“Oh.” She sounded disappointed. Her hands disappeared from the table into her lap. “Okay. I’m sorry. I misunderstood you.”

He took a chance and dropped his voice. “Shayla, look at me.”

Her eyes fluttered everywhere and anywhere but where he wanted them until she finally met his gaze. He waited until her eyes were steadily focused on him and nowhere else.

“What exactly is it you’re looking for?” he asked in the same soft, even tone.

He didn’t miss the way she swallowed, the way her throat worked, the pulse point clearly visible under her flesh.

I’d love to pull her head back and nibble all the way down her neck.

He forced himself not to budge as his erection painfully sprang to life in his pants.

“I want to go through training as a submissive. To see what it’s like from that side firsthand. I…I think that’s the only way I’m going to really understand all of this for my articles.”

He let her soft words hang in the air for a moment as he tried to process what she’d said. He couldn’t move, couldn’t sit back. The urge to adjust his pants would be too great, and he suspected what she’d just said had taken every ounce of her courage. He didn’t want to make a wrong move and scare her off.

“You want me to train you?”

Her eyes flickered away, but he waited her out. Her hazel gaze eventually returned to his again. “Yes. If you’re interested,” she quickly added. “I mean, I know you’re busy and if you don’t have the time, or don’t want to, it’s okay. I understand and it won’t hurt my feelings.”

Part of him wanted to reach out and pull her into his arms. A thick layer of insecurity lay behind her walls, of that he was now certain. She’d been rejected somewhere down the line and had taken a massive hit to her self-esteem as a result. He didn’t know exactly how or why, but he’d seen it plenty of times before in others and recognized it all too well.

Of course, he knew he could be wrong, but he doubted it.

“Is this really just for your story? No other reason?”

She nodded.

“Is any of it for you personally?”

He thought at first she wasn’t going to answer him. Then she softly said, “I don’t know. Maybe.”

He allowed himself to slowly lean back in his seat, his palms flat on his thighs under the table. He studied her, noticing the way her gaze dove away from him, down and to the side again, to the dessert menu propped up at the end of the table by the window.

I’ll have to work on that first. She would have to learn to accept direct eye contact with him, to hold and maintain it no matter how uncomfortable it might feel to her.

He realized what he’d just thought and knew regardless of the outcome, he’d probably already made up his mind the other night when they were talking at the club.

He’d just never thought he’d have a chance to make some of those fantasies come true.

“Okay,” he said. “I’ll do it.”

Adult Excerpt:

“Is that a spatula, Sir?”

He grinned and held the black object up. “Yep. Good for scraping batter out of bowls, or smacking subbies’ asses.” He stepped in close and hooked a finger through the front D-ring on the collar. “I’m not going to hurt you,” he said. “And as I told you, you can always call red. But I want to give you a little taste of what I have in store for you later tonight, so you have something to look forward to. Any objections?”

She shook her head. “No, Sir.”

His grin did dangerous things to her reserve. “That’s my good girl. Keep that dress up and those feet apart.”

He released her collar and walked around behind her. She flinched again when she felt his hands on the thong’s waistband.

Then she realized he was pulling it down her legs.

She closed her eyes and pressed her lips together as she felt what little covering she’d had disappear.

He put an arm around her waist to steady her and tapped her right leg. “Step up, pet.”

She lifted her foot and felt him pull the thong off her leg and drop it to the floor, where it puddled around her left ankle. “Foot down, pet.”

She complied.

“Legs apart, like I told you.” This time he nudged her right foot out with his. The boot leather felt warm against the side of her foot through the sandal.

He stepped away again. She heard him move in front of her. “Do you want a blindfold, pet?”

“Yes, Sir.” The words slipped from her lips without even needing to think about them.

“Ah, my poor, bashful pet. I should make you watch this time, but I won’t. I’ll go easy on you.” She heard him walk away. Then he rummaged through his bag, his boot heels making solid sounds on the painted concrete floor as he returned. She felt him slip a soft leather blindfold over her head and buckle it.

“How’s that, pet?”

She nodded. “Good, Sir.”

Even the word “pet” had taken on a new connotation for her. It felt like a new name. She was his pet, his toy, his plaything.

She heard him pick up one of the items he’d left on the floor next to her feet. When the plastic touched the skin of her inner right thigh, she twitched but didn’t draw her legs closed.

“Keep that skirt up, pet,” he said in a low warning tone when she’d let it slip. She yanked it back up again, bunching it in her hands so she could keep her elbows at her sides and not drop the fabric.

He lightly slapped her ass and thighs with the slapper first, just barely enough to be stingy in a pleasant, scratching-an-itch kind of way. After a few minutes of that he switched to the spatula.

He caressed up and down her inner thigh with the spatula, down to her calf, behind her knee, with both the flat side of it and the edge. Then up her thigh, just between her legs where he skipped her clit and pussy altogether and repeated the teasing on her left leg.

“You’re wet, pet. I can smell you.” He sounded amused.

He didn’t chide her for not replying, so she remained silent.

He did that for long minutes, back and forth.

Then the first slap, against her inner right thigh, making her yip in surprise more than pain.

“Legs apart!” he barked. It startled her, and she forced them apart. He started slapping the insides of her thighs with the spatula, up and down, the backs of her legs, her ass. Not as hard as she suspected he could hit, but in a few moments she felt the stinging all over.

He stopped, which shocked her almost as much as when he’d started.

His warm breath blew across her clit. “My poor, wet pet.” He lightly brushed her clit with the spatula.

She froze, which didn’t escape his notice. “Good girl. Hold very still.” He slipped the edge of the spatula back and forth through the folds of her labia and up the seam of her ass, teasing her. She pressed her lips together to try to hold back her whimpers.

It seemed nothing escaped his notice. “Make all the noise you want, pet. It’s just us.”

He dragged the edge of the spatula across her clit. That made her moan and involuntarily thrust her pelvis forward, wanting to maintain contact with it.

“Good girl,” he cooed. “That’s exactly what I want you to do.” He repeated the motion, tormenting her with the spatula, making her clit swell and throb even as her pussy began to dully ache with a cramping need she knew only an orgasm would take care of.

When was the last time I felt like this?

That would be never.

Release Day! "The Denim Dom" now available.

Friday, March 1, 2013
It's release day for the sequel to The Reluctant Dom and Domme by Default. Yes, The Denim Dom is finally available.

I have to admit a severe case of writer anxiety far worse than normal. I know it's been a couple of years in the works, and honestly? I'm terrified.

As the writer, I'm my own worst critic. I personally am happy with the book, yes. But when I see what a phenomenon The Reluctant Dom has become, how deeply it's resonated with people, well... Yes, I'm nervous.

Tony's story catches people up with Leah and Seth, Sully, Mac, and Clarisse (Safe Harbor), and Tilly, Landry, and Cris (Cardinal's Rule). And I have more books planned for this world (hence why we've grouped them as the Suncoast Society books) with those characters and more making appearances in other books as you get to meet more of the inhabitants.

But Tony's story isn't an ugly, snot-sobbing cry kind of book. It is (I think) pretty funny in a few places. And I'm not ashamed to say there are more than a few scenes ripped from real life from my own personal play sessions (and a few that *cough* I'm afraid to let Sir read for fear of it giving Him ideas... LOL).

And, yes, the orange silicone tasting spoon hurts like a mutherfucker. LOL

So...I really hope you like it. I know that with every book there will be people who don't like it, and I get and accept that. That's not what I'm talking about. I mean the people who loved the other books in this grouping, I hope YOU are happy with the book.

Oh, and any author who says they don't sweat a new release? They're either lying or Stephen-fricking-King. LOL

Sneak Peek from "The Denim Dom"

Tuesday, February 19, 2013
Here's a little sneak peek to whet your whistle for The Denim Dom, coming 3/1/13 from Siren-BookStrand. (I don't have the official cover yet, sorry. LOL)

--

Leah apparently sensed it. After Valerie left, Leah turned to Tony and scrunched up her face. “Nada? Are you sure?”

He shrugged. “Sorry. She seems like a very nice woman, but—”

“She doesn’t flip your switch. I get it.”

He smiled. “Never say switch to a Dom, Leah. In either context. I don’t do one, and I’m liable to use the other.”

She laughed. “Yeah, if I ever saw you switch with someone I think I’d make them haul you to the hospital for a CAT scan.” She sighed. “I’d hoped you’d really like her.”

“I do like her. I just don’t lust after her. I’ll be happy to play with her if she wants. I wish more women were like her. I’d be playing all the time if they were all nice, charming, and lacking a full matching six-piece set of emotional baggage. I’m allergic to clingy and drama. You know that.”

OHMYFRAKKINGGODDESSIWASFEATUREDINUSATODAY!!!!!!!!*

Sorry. I had to scream it.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!

Sorry. I think I'm done screaming in joy now. Okay, yes, I have 41, not 12 books out, but OMG!!!!! I would SOOOOO girl kiss this woman on the lips for writing this!!!!!! I'm just...WOW! I'm stunned in a good way, and yes, after the horrible last week I had, this was... WOW!

And yes, despite my bad knee, Pink Panther bathrobe, and pajamas, I sort of look a little like this this morning:

"The Denim Dom" (Tony's story) coming soon!

Tuesday, January 8, 2013
Looks like I have a tentative release date of March 1 for The Denim Dom. (Subject to possibly change, but that's what it's listed as for now.) Yes, that's Tony's story (from The Reluctant Dom and Domme by Default).

No cover yet, but here's the blurb I just turned in for the cover form:

Also, make sure you've read Cardinal's Rule and Safe Harbor, because Tony's book updates you on those characters as well. :)

And if you're on Facebook, I have a page set up to follow along this grouping of books: http://www.facebook.com/TheReluctantDom

Happy 2013! :) The year of an attitude of gratitude.

Thursday, January 3, 2013
Well, edits are turned in for It's a Sweet Life, my Coffeeshop Coven prequel that releases on 1/18. And...for those of you who don't follow my Facebook page, I'm happy to announce that Siren has accepted The Denim Dom (Tony's story) and the contract has been signed and returned. I don't have a release date yet, but look for it in March of this year.

(Yes, I finally got Tony's story written!)

New Year's day was pretty melancholy for us because it marked the one-year anniversary of our dear friend's passing due to brain cancer. I spent it working on edits and watching The Twilight Zone marathon on SyFy. I didn't want to see the news or hear one word about fiscal cliffs or anything else.

I quit making New Year's resolutions a long time ago. But something I saw pass through my Facebook feed a few days ago stuck with me, making a "gratitude jar," where you write down every day something good that happened, no matter how small, so you could go back through it at the end of the year.

I decided that this year, I'm going to use my Witches' Datebook that I get every year and write down, every day, something/s good. Already I have that we gathered with friends for New Year's Eve, I signed a contract, finished edits, received a great review from AllRomanceEbooks.com for Bleacke's Geek, and a few other things. Just looking back on the past couple of DAYS makes me feel good. I'm sure after a few weeks and months, when I have blue days, I'll be able to look back and smile and remember to feel gratitude.

What are you grateful for? What have you decided to do this year for yourself to better your life, no matter how small?

What am I up to now?

Sunday, November 25, 2012
Yay, I survived Thanksgiving without adding too many pounds. LOL I hope everyone survived it safe and sound (and sane!). And tomorrow, Mercury goes from retrograde back to direct. (Can I have a hallelujah?)

And on Friday, the fourth installment in my Deep Space Mission Corps series, Out of Bight, Out of Mind, releases from Siren. (Hint: You can pre-order it now! *smile*) Don't worry, there will be more books in that series. Books five and six will focus more on the crews of the Kendall Kant and Braynow Gaston, although Emi and her boys will make appearances. And there will be books beyond those.

So right now, I'm finishing a WIP to turn in to Siren, tentative titled Foggy Daze. (Not sure I'm totally in love with that title, however, but it does apply to the manuscript.) It's a mfm menage, and a prequel book to my Coffeeshop Coven series that I'll be putting out next year. It's not technically a paranormal story, it's more a contemporary, although we're introduced to a few characters and magickal elements we'll see in later books in the series.

EDIT: We did go ahead and change the title to It's a Sweet Life. (It's the name of the heroine's bakery.)

(Another hint, Out of the Darkness is a prequel to the Coffeeshop Coven series, which focuses on the people who call the Many Blessings new age shop a second home. If you read OotD, it'll set up the backstory for the series that while not mandatory to know, it'll give you greater insight into the first book and the events that took place leading up to it. And Red Tide contains related characters as well.)

Here's my working blurb (subject to change):

LacieBell Addams, known as Libbie to her friends, has a mortgage on her building in Brooksville, Florida, a struggling bakery, no love life, no health insurance...and fibromyalgia. She's worried how she'll continue making ends meet when two hunks show up looking to rent the extra apartment over her bakery. Not only do Ken and Charles make her money worries go away, they offer to help out in the bakery in their spare time, giving her hope. They also make her panties damp. Too bad they're gay, but they are great eye candy.

Ken Dougherty and Charles Stackhouse have a secret--they're not the gay cousins they pretend to be. They're actually twin brothers in disguise and on the run from a vengeful New Jersey mob boss. Charles is actually Allan Donohue, formerly a prosecutor with the State Attorney's office in Miami. Benjamin Donohue was the Miami-Dade detective who helped break the case wide open. Now they're both marked for death. They hope their ruse is enough to keep them, and Libbie, safe. Because now that they've both fallen in love with the struggling baker, there's no way they're going to let her go.

But what happens when fate strikes and vengeance comes calling? Will there be a lifetime of days both foggy and sunny for the three, or will their love suddenly be ended in a deadly eternal night?

--

What comes next? December will be spent finishing Tony's story and getting that submitted to Siren. It's going to be a mf BDSM book, and emotionally it's been grueling to write (although not nearly as much so as The Reluctant Dom was.)

In no particular order (no, I don't have any potential release dates yet), here are the projects topping my whiteboard from hell at the moment, and which I anticipate being done/released in the early part of next year:

  • The Denim Dom (Tony's story, and will catch people up on characters from Safe Harbor, Cardinal's Rule, Domme by Default, and The Reluctant Dom)
  • Triple Trouble 5 (I can't decide on a title for it yet.)
  • Without Porpoise and Porpoisefully Yours, books 3 and 4 in the Placida Pod series
  • Book 1 in the Coffeeshop Coven series (mfm and as of yet untitled because I can't make my dang mind up--heeeey, Macarena)
  • Book 2 in the Bleacke Shifters series
  • Deadline, a contemporary mystery (mf) with romantic elements that I'm self-publishing as Lesli Richardson (it's in edits now)
  • Pinch Me, a contemporary thriller (mf) with romantic elements... *ditto ^^^*

When I say those projects top my whiteboard from hell, that's not to say that's the limit of my projects. Ooohhh no, bucky. That's just the list of the ones currently screaming at me the loudest. LOL I have a whole tree's worth of sticky notes plastered over my corkboard squares (if Grimmy would quit swatting at them and knocking them down!) of projects.

Also in the queue for next year, more installments in the Good Will Ghost Hunting series (hopefully at least two of them, more if I can manage it) and my Brimstone Vampire series (at least two). Along with more Coffeeshop Coven series books, a couple of BDSM novels, a couple of one-off menage stories (one a contemporary, one an adventure set in Yellowstone) that keep popping their heads up and shouting at me to write them (but they keep getting shouted down by other stories), more from the Triple Trouble gang, another DSMC book, possibly the sequel to Fierce Radiance, a new post-apocalyptic series that I'm thinking of as "bird flu pandemic meets The Stand meets The Walking Dead minus zombies meets classic Old Western pulp fiction," and some other stuff.

I've been asked why I'm self-publishing some of my fiction as Lesli. Good question. :) I am COMPLETELY satisfied with Siren-BookStrand, let me say that right up front. The publisher is fantastic to work with, and I have nothing but good to say about them. Seriously. However, their niche is romance and erotic romance. And honestly? My brain has some contemporary stories to write, some without any sex in them at all, and that means they wouldn't be a good fit for Siren. It's nothing to do with them. (You wouldn't take your Ford to a BMW dealership for repairs, would you? Same principle.) Also, I've always wanted to build up my Lesli Richardson pen name (since, heck, that IS my real name) and I've just been too busy to do it. So rather than sexing up some books that really have no business being sexed up because it would be extraneous, I decided, why not take a chance and do this? Quite honestly, sometimes my mental palette NEEDS the non-sexy writing so I don't get burned out. Rather than letting those manuscripts languish in a metaphorical drawer, I decided why not self-publish them?

While we're here, I'm shamelessly drumming up "likes" for my Facebook page: http://facebook.com/tymberdalton I'm over the 900 mark and shooting for 1,000. If you haven't gone there and liked it yet, please do, because when I do hit the 1,000 mark, I'm going to randomly pick one of the people who've liked it to win $20 in Strandbucks from Siren-BookStrand. :)

So what are your thoughts? What do you want to see popping up on my Coming Soon page? *smile*

Where's Tony's Story?

Monday, October 15, 2012
Yes, it's currently the question I'm getting asked the most often: Where is Tony's story?

I am working on it, I swear. (For those of you who don't know who Tony is, he was in The Reluctant Dom and Domme by Default.) It's called The Denim Dom.

Here's the thing: I'm really taking my time with Tony and his story. I'm terrified if I screw up his book that y'all will lynch me. LOL But seriously, I don't want to rush his book and mess it up. I'm second-guessing myself at every turn and finally had to decide to just say, okay, let the story flow. And it is, but slowly. I am working on it, however. I write a bit and let it sit for a little while. I write a little more, and let it sit.

I can say that yes, you will see updates and appearances from other characters, like Sully, Mac, and Clarisse from Safe Harbor, Tilly, Cris and Landry from Cardinal's Rule, Seth and Leah from The Reluctant Dom, and...yes, you'll even see an appearance from "Her" and "him" from Domme by Default. :)

So thank you all for your patience. I promise, the wait will be worth it. Just because I'm working on other projects doesn't mean I'm not working on Tony. I just want to make sure his book is the best it can be. :)

What's next?

Wednesday, September 5, 2012
So what am I working on now? Yes, Tony's story (The Denim Dom) is in the works. I'm taking my time and not rushing his story because I'm allergic to being lynched by my readers. LOL The biggies on my plate right now are book 4 in the Deep Space Mission Corps series, "Out of Bight, Out of Mind." It's already partially completed. (Yes, there will be more books beyond book 4, but I don't know how many or when.)  And yes, you'll get updates about Leah and Seth; Tilly, Landry, and Cris; Clarisse, Mac, and Sully...and more. :)

I'm also working on the next two books in my Placida Pod shifter series (the first, "Accidentally On Porpoise," releases on Monday, Sept. 17.)

And the biggie, I'm working on a new menage series, the Coffeeshop Coven series. This series revolves around the friends that call Many Blessings (the New Age shop from "Out of the Darkness") their home away from home. Yes, that's a hint. If you haven't read my book "Out of the Darkness," you'll want to. It will give you a lot of backstory you might want to know, although it won't be required reading for the series.

No, I haven't forgotten the Triple Trouble series. :) I have already started the next book in that series, but I'm letting a few of the details settle for a little while because the characters are actually arguing with each other about the plot. LOL As a pantster, all I can do is sit back and wait for them to settle it amongst themselves and then report back to me with the results so I can continue writing. Don't worry, it won't be a wait of years between books like the last time.
