What am I reading? (7/21/12)

Saturday, July 21, 2012
Well, somewhere between getting up this morning and around noon, I did something seriously bad to my back. UGH. Not sure what, didn't lift anything. Not sure if this is a fibro thing, or something from my back surgery years ago, but the result is I've spent most of the day flat on my back on the couch with my new bff, my heating pad. LOL

So anyhoo, wanted to share a couple of reads with you that I'm working through. (Maybe this was the Universe's way of telling me to take a day off whether I liked it or not. LOL)

Non-Fiction:

I highly recommend this book to authors and other creative people. It's not dry, believe me, it's a really fascinating look at how creativity works and the creative process. And yes, totally applicable to writers. You have to read it to see what I mean, but it's great! (Also on Nook.)

Fiction:

I have to start by saying Cooper is a friend of mine. That doesn't detract from me really still liking these three stories. I gave these three books a re-read, and they're still as good as I first remembered them. :) So if you haven't checked them (or Cooper's other works) out yet, you definitely want to take a look at them. (Also on Nook and at www.bookstrand.com) :)

Feel free to chime in with what you're reading this weekend. :)

    I just picked up Lair of the Jaguar God by Marie Dees. M/M shifter romance that looks interesting.

    I'm reading #6 in the Kindred series by Eve Langlais.
    Just finished "Taming the Boss Lady" by Jan Bowles - part of her "Masters of Submission" series.

  1. Since I'm working on Book 3 in my Cedar River series (and didn't take notes on Book 1), I'm re-reading Keeper of the Golden Dragon's Heart. I'm also reading Clothing Optional by Virginia Nelson and Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (though I know Outlander almost by heart). I'm off to check out Imagine. Thanks for the tip:) Feel better. {{{HUGS}}}
